The beech trees at Svaneholm Castle are now full of fresh green leaves the forest floor is no longer white with forest anemones. Instead, the rhododendron in the garden by the castle are blossoming!
There is a nice trail around the lake. You can either park by the castle...
...or down by the "smoke house".
There are bbq spots (grillplats) and view points (utsiktsplats) along the trail.
Or simply enjoy the green leaves against the dark trunks!
There is also an alder forest in the wetland areas, with a nice walk way to keep you dry.
Just let the imagination loose and look for crocodiles in the swamp!
Kids usually enjoy climbing on this old tree.
If you would like to venture out on a longer walk than just the few km around the lake, you can enter the Hästhagen nature reserve.
For long stretches of the walk you can enjoy nice reflections in the lake.
If the museum or café is open you can also enter the castle.
