Last week we wrote about Brantevik. If you continue past the southern harbor and south on the hiking trail Skåneleden you will reach an area called Vejakåsen. Wood used to be loaded by these cliffs. In the summer you can enjoy a morning swim and laying on soft cliffs warmed by the morning sun afterwards. There are even steps here to make it easier to get in and out of the water. A few hundred meters further south, among the grazing cows, you will find Brantarör - burial hills and rock piles from the Iron and Bronze Ages. If you look carefully you can also see ancient ripple marks in the cliffs, from about 550 million years ago. A perfect place for an excursion and a picnic - experience the ocean, cliffs and pastures.
